Quaker Oats

I was hired by Hornall Anderson to render the lettering portion of their fantastic new branding for Quaker. This project was an interesting challenge. Quaker is an old company and the lettering needed to reflect that. But, the lettering couldn’t look old and modernizing a logo from the company’s past was not an option. Plus, their mock ups used a F.P.O. logo made with off the shelf fonts that the client liked. So, I made something that looked old, but was actually new, that followed a desired style, but was completely proprietary. Fun!

It’s nice to open our kitchen cabinet in the morning and see some of my lettering hanging out with Larry the Quaker Guy.
